Copyright and takedowns
People can upload photos and documents to True Rent. If something here uses your work without permission, tell us and we'll take it down.
Where to send a notice
Send copyright notices to our designated agent:
Harshil Nainani, True RentEmail: contact@truerent.org
What to include
- Your physical or electronic signature.
- The work you believe is being infringed, such as the original photo or a link to it.
- The material on True Rent you want removed, with its web address so we can find it.
- Your name, mailing address, phone number and email.
- A statement that you believe in good faith that the use isn't authorized by the owner, its agent or the law.
- A statement that the information in your notice is accurate and, under penalty of perjury, that you are the owner or authorized to act for the owner.
What we do
When we receive a complete notice we remove the material promptly and tell the person who uploaded it. Every building photo is recorded with who uploaded it and when, and uploaders must confirm they have the right to publish it.
If your content was removed
If you think we removed something by mistake, you can send a counter-notice to the same address with your signature, the material that was removed and where it appeared, a statement under penalty of perjury that you believe it was removed by mistake, your name, address and phone number, and your consent to the jurisdiction of the federal court for your address. Unless the person who complained tells us they've filed a court action, we may restore the material 10 to 14 business days after we receive it.
Repeat infringers
We close the accounts of people who repeatedly upload material that infringes other people's copyright.
